This week I let the day job and just about anything else work to prevent me conducting Painting Class. Â I have a philosophy that if you want to do something you will find a way to do it. Â If you don’t, you will find an excuse not to. Â Right now, I find myself making excuses for not doing the Painting Class. Â I don’t feel like I have refined the direction that I want it to go. Â I’m getting there. Â The wife and I had a long talk about it tonight, and I think we have a plan going forward. Â Unfortunately, it will take me a couple weeks to work it out.
In the meantime, local membership has been building and it is very exciting to me to have people just show up and begin arting along side me. Â THAT is EXTREMELY encouraging.
Bear with me while we work out the details of Painting class and it should be back in full force by February.
Don’t give up on it just cause you find yourself not doing it. I do my own artistic stuff sometimes, and find myself putting it off for all sorts of reasons, but I always come back to it because I love it.
And being able to teach art? Even better than just doing it yourself, because teaching is an art.
Wait, does that mean that teaching art is doing art squared? Awesome.
Don’t worry, I’m not giving up. I’m just regrouping to find the best way to present it as a class.
